(Pleasanton, TX) Dillon Coyne needed to survive Saturday night at I-37 Speedway to win the A-Line DCRST 2017 championship.. DCRST has a new first time champion “The Dirt King” in the #12 did what he needed to do and took home the season title. James Fitzgerald dropped the hammer early in the heat race dominating to the flag to show he still had life while Tyler Folkerts did the same as the 42 driver looked to stay at least second in the season standings.
The 20 lap main brought 11 cars to the grid after a big meet and greet with the large crowd and the stage was set. Fitzgerald went to the point and checked out until Dylan Budnik made the pass and never looked back capturing his first A-Line DCRST main event win. Fitzgerald stayed in the runner up spot followed by Ty Paxon, Coyne and Folkerts.
Despite a DNS in the main but a heat race win Brayden Becker cruised to the 2017 A-Line DCRST Rookie of the Year crown
